WfK is a small charity, set up by Environmental Health Officers, which provides safe water, sanitation and health education for children and communities in developing countries.
The illustration, right, is of the washroom built by WfK for the older girls at Kamaila school, so that they could attend school throughout the month as they had facilities to use during menstruation.
WfK has provided clean water in Peru, The Gambia, Tanzania, India, Kenya and Sierre Leone; this has improved peoples' health and well-being and has saved lives. The Charity is currently working on projects in Uganda, Zambia, Rwanda and Tanzania.
