The Bible is a thick book - even on thin paper !
You can sit down and read it from end to end - but you have to be very determined, and you won't necessarily understand it any better, because the Bible is a collection of documents by many authors; and some of these are themselves compliations.
Browsing is better, and some people find it helpful to browse to a plan which is used in many churches to determine which parts of the Bible are read in services.
